On the morning of January 20, 2026, at the Hall of Hai Phong College of Tourism, the 2026 Conference of Officials and Employees was formally organized with the participation of all officials, civil servants, and employees throughout the school.

The Conference serves as a forum for democracy and transparency, demonstrating the sense of responsibility and collective intelligence in evaluating the results of performing tasks in 2025 and determining directions, goals, and key solutions for 2026. The Conference was managed by the Presidium, which included: The Principal, the president of the union and a representative of the teachers. The Conference was conducted strictly and in accordance with regulations, ensuring the principle of democratic centralism.
At the conference, Mrs. Nguyen Thi Hai Hoa – Vice Principal of the College – presented the report summarizing the work of 2025 as well as the directions and tasks for 2026. The report emphasized the efforts of the collective of officials, lecturers, and employees amidst many difficulties, particularly challenges in enrollment and the requirement for governance innovation according to the roadmap for autonomy.

The Conference also heard several key reports: the annual financial report; the report from the Executive Board of the Trade Union regarding the results of conferences at subordinate units, a summary of emulation movements in 2025, and answers to recommendations from officials, civil servants, and employees; the report on the activities of the People's Inspection Committee for 2025, affirming its supervisory role and ensuring transparency in the activities of the College.
The discussion session was lively and focused, featuring presentations and direct opinions at the conference regarding strategic solution groups: improving enrollment efficiency; building a professional environment that is humane and consensual; innovating governance and strengthening executive effectiveness; innovating training activities toward a competency-based approach, while promoting the application of technology and Artificial Intelligence (AI) in teaching.

The Conference discussed
An important content of the conference was the election of the People's Inspection Committee for the new 2026–2028 term, consisting of three comrades. This demonstrated the collective's trust in a team of officials with the capacity and responsibility for internal supervision.

The Conference approved a Resolution with 100% of delegates in favor, identifying 15 key task groups for 2026. Notable highlights include: Boosting enrollment, opening new training majors, promoting management digitalization, applying KPIs, undergo external evaluation of training programs, increasing the rate of financial autonomy, expanding international cooperation, putting the Hotel Practice Center into operation, organizing professional seminars, implementing ministerial-level scientific research projects.
The Conference also launched the 2026 emulation movement with the following goals: 100% of units achieving the title of excellent collective, 100% of officials reaching the status of advanced laborer, 20% reaching the status of emulation fighter at all levels, continuing to care for the material and spiritual lives of employees, promoting the "capable in work and home" movement and volunteer activities for highland students.

In the closing speech, the School Leadership affirmed: The Resolution of the Conference is a political and action commitment of all officials, civil servants, and employees to successfully implement the School's development strategy for the 2026–2030 period.
