On the morning of November 13, 2025, the 5th Trade Union Congress of Hai Phong College of Tourism for the 2025–2030 term was solemnly held in an atmosphere of enthusiasm, solidarity, and innovation. This was an important political event, marking a new stage in the development of trade union activities and contributing to the successful fulfillment of the College’s political and professional missions during the period of integration and digital transformation in vocational education.
Overview of the congress
Attending the Congress were Mr. Lê Văn Thiện, Chairman of the Hong An Ward Trade Union; Mr. Trịnh Cao Khải, Secretary of the Party Committee and Principal of the College; together with all trade union members who are officials, lecturers, and employees of the entire College. The Congress heard the report summarizing Trade Union activities for the 2023–2025 period, evaluating outstanding results, pointing out limitations, and at the same time determining orientations, objectives, and key solutions for the 2025–2030 term. At the Congress, two presentations were delivered contributing to the Trade Union report with the following themes: “Enhancing professional capacity and digital skills of trade union members in the period of the Fourth Industrial Revolution”; and “The responsibility and courage of trade union members in building a civilized and happy working environment.”
Delivering a directive speech at the Congress, Mr. Trịnh Cao Khải, Secretary of the Party Committee and Principal of the College, acknowledged and commended the achievements of the Trade Union organization during the previous term. The Trade Union clearly demonstrated its role as a bridge between the Party Committee, the Board of Management, and the staff, lecturers, and employees, contributing to the building of a united, democratic, creative, and responsible College community. The Party Committee and the Board of Management of the College requested the new-term Executive Committee to continue promoting and effectively implementing the following tasks:
“- Performing the function of caring for and protecting the legitimate and lawful rights and interests of employees; proactively proposing various welfare policies and improving working conditions for lecturers and staff.
- Promoting emulation movements such as “Good Teaching – Good Learning” and “Excellence at Work – Responsibility at Home,” in association with professional activities and initiatives to innovate teaching methods and apply technology in training.
- Actively participating in social and charitable activities, contributing to the building of a happy, humane, and creative working environment.
- Making an important contribution to building the image of Hai Phong College of Tourism as a dynamic, friendly, and reputable training institution within the national vocational education system.”
With the spirit of “Innovation – Democracy – Solidarity – Development,” the Congress elected the Executive Committee of the Trade Union of Hai Phong College of Tourism for the 5th term, 2025–2030, comprising officials with good qualities, competence, and dedication, representing the voice and aspirations of employees throughout the College.
Comrade Trinh Cao Khai - Secretary of the Party Committee - Principal of the school, delivered a speech giving guidance.
The newly elected Executive Committee demonstrated its determination to continue promoting the tradition of solidarity, creativity, and pioneering spirit in emulation movements, closely linking trade union activities with the political tasks and development strategy of the College; continuously caring for the material and spiritual well-being of union members; and building a happy working environment that inspires dedication and creativity.

The success of the 5th Trade Union Congress of Hai Phong College of Tourism is a testament to the solidarity, intellect, and sense of responsibility of the entire staff, lecturers, and employees of the College. The Congress concluded with renewed confidence and expectations for a term of innovation, creativity, and effectiveness, contributing to the successful realization of the goal of developing Hai Phong College of Tourism into a center for high-quality tourism human resource training with regional and international integration.
