You want to work in a 3–5 star restaurant; of course you need to improve your foreign language skills to meet the standards for applying to a professional and competitive environment. Working there you will regularly communicate in English or other languages, and naturally you will understand and be able to present a menu with dishes that have foreign names.
It's not hard to recognize colleagues with good foreign language skills; those who demonstrate good attitudes at work are often considered and promoted to higher positions. So don't let yourself be disadvantaged because you don't know a foreign language.
